Available · v1.0.1 · Chrome Web Store
Policy
§ 01
In one line
TypeEN reads the text field you are typing in, only when you press the shortcut, sends that text to Google Translate, and writes the translation back. Nothing else leaves your browser.
§ 02
What is read
The content of the focused text field (or the selected part of it), only at the moment you press the shortcut (Alt+T by default) or click “Translate” in the popup. The extension does not read pages, keystrokes or other fields, and does nothing in the background.
§ 03
Where it goes
The text to translate is sent over HTTPS to Google Translate (
translate.googleapis.com) and the translation is returned to the page. No other host is contacted. LastParadox operates no server for this extension and never sees your text. Google's handling of the request is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.§ 04
What is stored
- Your source and target language — in Chrome's sync storage, tied to your Chrome profile.
- A simple count of translations performed — stored locally on your device, shown in the popup.
Nothing else. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no cookies.
§ 05
Permissions
storage— save the language preference and the local counter.- Host permission for
translate.googleapis.com— call the translation service. activeTabandscripting— when you press the shortcut, Chrome grants temporary access to the current tab only, and the translation script is injected on demand to read and replace the text of the field you are typing in. No script runs permanently on any site.
